In case you didn't read it over at ClanBase, we have been banned from this and future cups because of the patch. It's a pity this has gone this far, but it's not going to change my opinion on proxies.

Since BiteMe! is obliged in the upcoming RA2 cup and we don't like cheating, we thought it would be nice to solve this problem ourselves. We present to you: The BiteMe! Cheat Patch. This patch will always reply that your Quake 2 is clean after someone has done a p_modified message. We think this is great since now everybody can freely use a hacked quake2.exe again and the patch eliminates the reason BiteMe! is obliged in the Q2 cups, because now BiteMe! won't be a prove of a clean Quake 2 anymore. The ball is in your camp again, ClanBase.
Edit: I removed the link, but I still hope ClanBase thinks about this, enforcing players to use a proxy is not really my idea of an ideal start of a cup.

As you might have noticed we decided to play some matches again, this time in the form of RA2. We decided the new ClanBase RA2 Cup would be a nice and fun way to play some games again. Let's hope we won't have too many server problems etc.
And in the RA2 Cup we'll also need some members to play for us, so if you think you would be a nice addition for our team (behaviour comes in first place), please contact us.

That's right, the DRoME9 LAN Party is only a short 2 weeks away. We will go there with apC, Argoth, frisb, THIRSK and Vo0. The LAN begins on Friday 1 February 6pm and ends on Sunday 3 February 6pm. We are really looking forward to it and we know you do too!
The usual photo's, demos and a report will be up a couple of days/weeks after the lan!

The quake2 source code was released yesterday. I don't know if we must be happy or not. Anti-bot and anti-cheat programmers can maken better programs, but cheaters can make better cheats. Because they now know the source code, which programs much easier. You can download it here.
I also heard a rumor that ID Software will release a new version of q2, 3.21. But that's just a rumor for the moment.
